Eastlake Shores is one of the original neighborhoods in the Eastlake community. The Shores broke ground in 1986 and is built around a 21.5 acre lake. Residents enjoy the private use of the Swim and Tennis Club and the Beach Club which features a sandy beach swimming lagoon and a 1,500 sq. ft community center.
Once thought to be in the middle of nowhere, Eastlake is now a center of activity. Some residents even say there's no reason to ever leave the neighborhood. Shopping includes: Henry's, Trader Joes, and Vons grocery stores; large chain stores like Target, Kohl's, Petco, Lowes, and Office Depot; restaurants include The Brigantine, Pat & Oscars, Broken Yolk, Islands fine burgers, Miguel's Cocina, and Sam's BBQ; specialty foods include Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Jamba Juice, Cold Stone Creamery, and of course, Starbucks.
